These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of NearMe ("we", "us", "our"), including our chat-based property search on WhatsApp and Telegram and this website. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What NearMe is

NearMe is a technology platform that helps you discover property listings and connect with listers through a chat interface. We are not a real estate broker, agent, or intermediary, and we do not charge brokerage. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a lister or owner.

2. Listings and verification

Listings are submitted by users and third-party sources. While we manually review listings to reduce duplicates, stale posts, and obvious fraud, we do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, legality, or authenticity of any listing. Always independently verify a property, its ownership, and its documents, and inspect it in person before making any payment.

3. No RERA or legal advisory role

Nothing on the platform constitutes legal, financial, or RERA compliance advice. You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence and, where appropriate, seeking professional advice.

4. Safe use and fraud awareness

• Never pay advances, tokens, or deposits before physically inspecting a property and verifying the owner.
• Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true or of anyone pressuring you to pay quickly.
• NearMe will never ask you to pay us to view or unlock a listing.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or illegal listings or content.
• Harass, spam, or defraud other users.
• Scrape, copy, or misuse the platform or its data.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The NearMe name, logo, design, and content are our property and may not be used without permission.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, reliance on any listing, or dealings with any lister or owner.

8. Changes to the service and terms

We may modify or discontinue features, and update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
